New Release - NAV 2016

Microsoft have revealed that this year's major release of NAV will be called NAV 2016. The details we've received aboutof Dynamics NAV 2016 suggest a bounty of new features that will be available in the autumn (date tbc) and bring great benefits to customers.

New Release - NAV 2016

Azure

Microsoft have positioned Dynamics NAV to be the ERP cornerstone of its Azure cloud offering, and NAV 2016 will work natively with Azure SQL. This will make hosting NAV on Azure cheaper, resulting in a more affordable and scalable solution.

Mobile Phone Client

NAV 2016 will see the arrival of the Phone client to go along with its Windows, Web and Tablet clients (the tablet client was only released last year!). Now Dynamics NAV will be available from your mobile phone via an app for Windows Phone, Android and iPhone. This will allow greater access to live business information, anywhere!

Power-BI

Microsoft’s Business Intelligence offering will be more closely integrated with NAV 2016, allowing better reporting and analysis of your business.

CRM Online

NAV 2016 will allow a smoother and more flexible integration with Dynamics CRM Online, and thus build stronger engagements with your customers.

Workflows

After years of asking, Microsoft have listened and are bringing workflows into NAV 2016. Workflows are an automation of company procedures, sending to-do’s to appropriate people when triggers are activated.

e-Everything

Microsoft are adding to NAV 2016 electronic invoicing and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, to streamline the sales and purchase processes.

Finance

New functionality in the finance module includes deferrals and posting preview.
